It appears that after many, many years in limbo, a new movie based on NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat franchise is about ready to enter pre-production stages. The film, which will be a joint production between Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema, will start shooting in Australia later this year.
Mortal Kombat is one of the most iconic game series of all time. The newest game of the series, Mortal Kombat 11, was released on April 23, and fans of the iconic brand attacked the new game with great excitement. If you like Mortal Kombat series and characters, we have even better news for you.
Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have begun preliminary work for a joint Mortal Kombat. The film will be filmed in Australia later this year. Blood, familiar faces and lots of fighting will meet once again with Mortal Kombat lovers.

The most curious subject about the film is whether to share the same fate with other game films. So far, many of the gaming films have been shown to the audience, but very few have been able to continue their success in the game. It is too early to predict what work Mortal Kombat will do.
