Russia reported to NASA the smell of alcohol on the International Space Station after the Dragon 2 spacecraft arrived and returned.
Russia filed a complaint to NASA after they arrived at the International Space Station in March, after the arrival of the Dragon 2 spacecraft. The problem was solved by the station’s air cleaning system.
Pavel Vlasov, the head of Russia’s Cosmonaut Training Center, said this incident occurred when the Dragon 2 spacecraft arrived but had more recent news.
The problem was solved by running the station’s air purifying system. Thanks to the air cleaning system, the air density in the air decreased to 2 mg per m³. According to Vlasov, this rate was one-tenth of the density of SpaceX’s spacecraft before it was connected to the station.
