A review was made of the security of Apple’s new user login method.
Silicon Valley giant company announces the new login method “Login with Apple” at an event organized over the past months. It allows them to log in to Internet platforms very easily using TouchID or FaceID.
This feature, which Apple has designed and developed with the privacy of its users in mind, has been found dangerous by the non-profit OpenID organization, which includes employees of PayPal, Google, Microsoft and more.
In a letter to Software Engineer Craig Federighi, head of Apple’s Software Department, OpenID pointed out that the “Log in with Apple” method should collect and accumulate users’ data, which could result in major problems in case of data breaches.
To solve these problems, OpenID calls Apple to close open points in Apple’s input method. Apple has not yet announced an official statement about the call. Apple’s privacy is the first priority of users who hope to optimize the new entry method, we hope.
