Lamborghini Is Sending Carbon Fiber To The International Space Station.

Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini wondered how the composite material used in their vehicles will perform against space radiation. To satisfy this curiosity, the company will send carbon fiber to the International Space Station.

Lamborghini is officially going into space, but this journey will take place differently than when Elon Musk launches his Tesla-launched rocket into space. The company will send composite material into space at the first stage.

Lamborghini is working with a hospital called the Houston Method Research Institute. As a result of this study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of harsh environmental conditions on composite materials.

Lamborghini has announced that it will send several examples to the International Space Station:

These samples will be sent with an unmanned rocket. Samples will be examined when the rocket reaches the station. As a result of the research, it is aimed to reach some clues in order to design future supercars and artificial organs that can be used in space.

Bor, We are very proud, Stef said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Lamborghini. Lamborghini is the first automobile company to conduct carbon fiber materials at the International Space Station. In addition to representing an important social responsibility, this task is consistent with our philosophy and values. Lamborghini has always been a pioneer in the field of technology, with activities across borders in every field. ”

Carbon fiber samples will spend about 6 months at the International Space Station. In the process, the materials will be exposed to cosmic radiation. Furthermore, the temperature levels to which the materials will be exposed will vary considerably.
