The public beta version of iOS 13 released. We have explained step by step how to install iOS 13 Public Beta for our followers who want to experience iOS 13 without waiting for the fall.
Apple announced the new mobile operating system version iOS 13, which brings new features to iPhones as part of WWDC 2019 events in early June. Immediately after the activities, iOS 13 closed beta version; was published to allow developers to experience and provide feedback on their issues. Users with a paid Apple developer account were beginning to experience the new operating system, which will be released in the coming months with a stable release. Apple has now released a public beta version of iOS 13, which is available for download publicly. We’re telling you how to install the new OS version on iPhone models that support iOS 13 Public Beta.
Before you start the installation process, you need to make sure that your iPhone will receive the iOS 13 update. Generally speaking, if you have an iPhone 6S or later, you can install the beta version of iOS 13 on your smartphone, but it’s worth checking the following to make sure.
iOS 13 Public Beta Installation Guide
If you have a supported iPhone and want to be one of the first to experience iOS 13, first of all it’s a good idea to back up your smartphone. The safest way to do this is to back up your iPhone with the iTunes application you will install on your computer. All you need to do is download iTunes to your computer using the link here. After accessing the link, you will have access to the Microsoft Store. Here you can install the application safely on your computer.
Note: For a successful installation on iOS 13 Public Beta, your smartphone must have at least 4 GB of free space. Apple has sized the installation file for iOS 13 Beta to 3.75 GB. So make sure you have enough space on your smartphone before you start.
When you download and install the iTunes application on your computer, you will be greeted by a screen like this;
The next step is to connect your smartphone to your computer wired. After you do this, your computer will do the necessary installation and we will be able to complete the backup process.
Unlock your smartphone screen. You will see a notification screen. This screen gives some small information. Click ‘Trust Computer.’
- The iTunes app will also display a similar mini-screen. Click on ‘Resume’.
- After you follow these two steps, you will see an iTunes syncing (backup) for a while. This 4-step process is performed automatically. Processing will vary depending on the speed of your computer and the fullness of your iPhone, but not too long.
After this process is complete, there is the phone icon found on iTunes. This icon allows you to see detailed information about your device and can perform operations such as backup and restore. This button is located at the top of the iTunes application interface, just to the right of the ‘Music’ tab. After clicking the phone icon, the screen that will meet you is as follows;
Under the Backups menu, you can see the ‘Manual Backup and Restore’ section. We click on the ‘Backup Now’ button (the backup process is done automatically after connecting it to the computer, but it is still useful to back it up manually once again.).
After completing the backup process, we can proceed to download iOS 13 Public Beta. The next process will take place on your smartphone. Using the Safari browser to perform these operations will allow you to make downloads easier. (This guide was created using Safari.)
First, we need to access the link here. This link is Apple’s public beta administration page. It includes beta versions of devices such as tablets and laptops. The screen that will meet us is as follows;
After clicking the ‘Sign in’ button, we need to log in to our Apple account. This account is your email address and password you set for iCloud. Upon completion of the login process, a screen like this will be waiting for you.
Note: We would like to remind you once again that you need to do this on your smartphone. Screen images are transferred from the desktop version in order to see the images properly.
Click the ‘Enroll Your Devices’ button at the top of the screen. This is a profile download page specific to your iPhone. This profile is required to install iOS 13 Public Beta on your device.
The Enroll Your Devices page provides information about the backup process as it goes down. Immediately followed by the ‘Install profile’ section. Here you will see a button that says ‘Download profile’. When you tap this button, a menu will appear where we should click on the ‘Allow’ button.
Immediately after this, you will receive a notification that the profile was successfully downloaded. This will be immediate because the file size is too small. After clicking on the ‘Close’ button in the menu that appears, we are finished with the browser.
The next step is to go to your iPhone’s Settings menu. At the top of the settings menu, you will see a menu that says ‘Profile downloaded’. Touch here and click on the ‘Upload’ button on the top right.
Once you have entered your unlock password, we once again touch the ‘Upload’ button at the top right. You will then receive a notification that your smartphone needs to be restarted. Restart your smartphone at this point. Once the reboot is complete, we’ll go back to the Settings section of your smartphone.
Here you have to access the ‘Software Update’ submenu under the ‘General’ menu. After accessing this sub-menu, you will see iOS 13 as you would any other iOS update.
At this point, the guide we prepared the smartphone does not have enough free space, the process is halfway. Without this warning, however, iOS 13 Public Beta would be downloaded successfully and your smartphone would install the iOS 13 Beta version when rebooting itself. You will not have any problems if you want to do the installation after you have prepared the required free space.
Note: iOS 13 has a large file size, so a stable Wi-Fi connection is required. You need to know that the download time is directly linked to your internet speed. In addition, it is important that no breaks occur during the download. So make sure you have a stable internet connection and at least 50% charge.
Note: Since iOS 13 Public Beta is currently in testing, you may encounter many problems. It is very common to experience problems such as shortening the battery life of your phone and crashes. So before you install iOS 13 Public Beta on your smartphone, it will be beneficial for you to be aware of it.
Note: Beta installation process problems that you will encounter (such as discontinuation of the download, bad download, etc.) is entirely the responsibility of the user. Webtekno cannot be held responsible for any problems that may occur.
