Apple has received a new patent to satisfy users who have continuous dropped their iPhone due to the glass-metal design.
If you bought any iPhone model that was introduced in the last two years, you have seen that it has metal frames and a glass body. This design makes the device look very stylish, but the glass body is combined with rounded metal frames to create a very slick smartphone.
Apparently, this situation has also disturbed Apple. United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Apple Inc. 51 patents filed by the applicant. One of the most noticeable of these patients was the company’s application for the new rear panel design.
According to the patent, Apple can use a non-slippery surface with a more matte appearance on the back panel of new iPhones. According to the patent document, the textured surface can be applied both on the glass panel and on the polymer-glass structure. Therefore, it is possible for iPhones to come in both matt and glass look design.
There is no guarantee that every patent received will be used in a real commercial product. However, it is a subject that is highly voiced by users whose cam-metal design phones are easily lost. With the new back panel technology, Apple can prevent this problem in future iPhone models.
