Three years after its launch, the platform, which was purchased by the online retail giant Amazon for $ 970 million in September 2014, has become increasingly popular with the rise of e-sports.
Twitch, who chose not to make any changes to his design for eight years, finally broke his stubbornness. The popular live broadcast service comes with a new logo, a new purple color, and a new font.
Byron Phillipson, one of the company’s directors, says the new design was implemented as a result of a year of work. Phillipson says that the reason behind the change is to make the brand future-oriented and to better represent its creator community.
Twitch’s new logo looks much more elegant and modern than its predecessor. Also, the logo change comes with a new slogan: “You are already one of us”
The new-look will be part of the major advertising campaigns with some popular names to promote the platform to the world. Phillipson said that they wanted to make the Twitch community feel more belonging to the platform.
